Yes, the solution is to build bigger. For these types of projects it almost always is.(if you want to maximize your revenues). You can take on more debt, if you can drive up revenues. That's a basic business premise that is especially true in the gaming industry. Its when governments come in and try to limit people's fun is when you have problems. (as was the case here, mixed in with the provincial government being incredibly short sighted).
Good. I'm glad you remember. It was "axed" because the governments of the day were not business focused. Instead of a
free convention centre and entertainment complex, we got the "privilege" of spending $1Billion+ on a convention centre, and got a scaled down hotel and casino project, that has trouble paying its bills.
Ya, I have that pesky habit of needing things to be logic driven rather than blindly following a press clipping that's written by entities that have an agenda to push.
