Hope I'm not beating a dead horse.

I believe I've figured out a few more.

I also made it a bit larger to make it easier to read the names.

We have Dana Andrews sitting between a mystery woman and Elizabeth Taylor.

And we have Janet Leigh (left) and Dorothy Lamour (right).

Lastly, we have Adrienne Barbeau's sister.

...I'm kidding.

The next 3 are the mysteries for me, any help would be great. Along with the 2 above, these were developed together (same date codes on the slides) and seem like they we're part of a slide show to show how Scouting can work in any community.

This is now the Comstock Firemen's Museum, still standing at 125 C St, Virginia City, Nevada. It doesn't seem to have a website, but the Facebook page is here.

You can see it here on GSV.

Dana Andrews is sitting between Liz Taylor and Martha Raye in her red jacket. Next to Liz are married couple Frances Dee and Joel McCrea, NOT Robert Loggia. The green face man above & behind Dana Andrews is Cornel Wilde, not Cliff Robertson. The green-faced guy above & behind Flashdance girl Jennifer Beals, (NOT Irene Cara), is Victor Mature. Above & behind Mature is Rhonda Fleming, not Zsa Zsa. Jane Russell is next to Mike Connors & below Wm. Shatner. "Adrienne Barbeau's sister" looks very much like Ali McGraw - I think it is her. The green-faced guy behind Charlton Heston looks very much like Van Johnson, but I'm not positive, (his face is partially obscured) - but pretty sure. That COULD be Ryan O'Neal next to Rhonda Fleming, but again can't be positive as he is scowling. Yes, Fred MacMurray is next to Glenn Ford. The only face of the bunch I positively can't identify is the young green-faced woman in what looks like a black beret and dark hair, behind Victor Mature. I'll sound like little Mr. Know-it-all, but I know my old stars & these are not guesses.

THAT'S her name... like I said, I recognized her face but could not remember her name. I think you got that one right, JeffDiego!

Robert Loggia

I think the man identified as Robert Loggia is Joel McCrea.

Could the young lady over Bob Hope's shoulder be Debra Winger?

Wow, Bristolian, I believe you've nailed it! Debra Winger is one of those long-forgotten names (at least to me), but she was still fairly hot stuff in 1987.

The one other person I would've never identified is Andrew McCarthy, as I've never heard of him. Looked him up, member of the "Brat Pack," and he has had a solid career with MANY dozens of credits up to the present day.

A menu for the "Quaker Room" restaurant at the William Penn hotel showed up on eBay and it got me thinking about the place. It's been called The Sinclair since 2020 and most of the theming is gone (that lobby fireplace is still pretty nice) but the exterior is fairly intact. It's not just the architectural changes (I'm guessing parapet ordinance?) but the loss of the name makes me think about how folks a century ago had such interest in early American history and British history and how those things are not so much in the zeitgeist today. I think about how later owners probably don't care and maybe don't even understand the meaning behind the details and names that tell a story. I took it as an opportunity to read about William Penn and downtown-adjacent "microloft" living.

Looking for something else, I ran across this item. Despite having done quite a bit of research on Mission San Gabriel, I don't recall having heard of this tunnel before, and thought it might be of interest:

LA Times, 3/13/1929

Here's a map of the area:

Very interesting indeed! My Aunt lives near the Old Mill, and the rumors of tunnels we had heard of led her to have her property investigated for such. Nothing found, but I can imagine that this tunnel could be the source of the old rumors.

Interesting info on a mystery tunnel. This is in the vicinity of the Kathy Fiscus well.

The article was probably referring to Hiram Reid, whose history of Pasadena had a lot of info about the Mission era waterworks. Hugo Reid was someone different.

I think we've correctly identified virtually everyone in the photo now!

Here are the ones that were not identified (or incorrectly identified) in my original post:

Of course, Martha Raye... how could I have missed that one?

Can anyone confirm that this is Van Johnson?

Lastly, no one has identified this lady on the very left of the photo yet... any guesses?

At this point (11 years?) on NLA I thought we had probably seen all the stereoviews that exist. But, I think this one might be new to NLA.

It's titled The Hills of Los Angeles.

eBay

It's quite amazing!

Here's a closer look.

I'm a bit confused by this new angle.

Can anyone tell me what these places are - or who they lolonged to?

This calls for the Superwhip emogi. ...
