Lincoln

• Founded: 19 July 1865

It was named in honor of Abraham Lincoln, president of the United States, assassinated only 3 months earlier. This was due to a provincial decree that established that the first town to be founded in the province would bear the name of the deceased president.

Lincoln was declared the "National Carnival Capital" in 1974.

It has some buildings, mostly lowrises, and a neo-gothic church built in 1897. The tallest building is from 1987.
