The site slopes a total of 18 metres, with the lowest elevation at the front of the building.
The designers intentionally minimized the height of the building with a sloping curved roof, and buried it into the hill to allow for views to the harbour from the adjacent residential area at the upper end of the site.
Final Construction Cost: $20.5 million. Home of the St. John's IceCaps (AHL) (2011-)
Capacity: 6,350 seats, 35 private boxes, 1,700 club seats, retractable lower seating
Hockey: 6,247, Basketball: 6,750, Full Capacity: 7,000.
