Description
Architect: Antonio Rivas Mercado
Engineering: Roberto Gayol, Gonzalo Garita, Miguel Gorozpe, Guillermo Beltrán y Puga, Manuel Marroquín y Rivera.
Sculptures: Enrique Alciati

On July 28th of 1957 The Main Sculpture was severious damaged when came down on the earthquake, the monument was reinforced & repaired and the internal 159-steps stone stairways was replaced with a 200-steps steel stairway, the sculpture was replaced with a new one identical on bronze, 24 carat gold plated.
Since their construction the monument "grows" their main height from the city level (almost 3 meters).
