Architect (original building): W.W. Bond, Jr. & Assoc., Architects

Architect (addition): Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo; Cole Martinez Curtis & Associates
Developer (addition): TrizecHahn Development

The hotel originally opened in 1972 as a Holiday Inn. This part of the building now forms the rear wing. In 2001 an addition was built at the front along Highland Avenue and the hotel reopened as a Renaissance hotel.
