-Originally was slated to be built in Chicago before a lengthy legal battle with "Friends of the Park", a Chicago-area Preservation Organization.
-Both Los Angeles San Francisco bid for the museum, with the former getting the contract
- Once complete will hold paintings, photography, illustration, cinematic art, and digital art from Lucas's personal collection. The building will also include 11 acres of park space, a Star Wars Exhibit, a library, offices, two theaters, and a collection of artifacts that "track the history of African American cinema".
