Description
• The hotel replaced the earlier Viennese-styled Mansion owned by the director of Ottoman Bank built in 1960s.

• First opened as 'American Intercontinental Hotel', the company sell it, due to the difficult working atmosphere and strikes of the 1970s.

• The hotel was then taken over by The Marmara Group, which still operates it.
