The original project (Autentica Reforma) includes the total demolition of the 1938's house of Reforma 297, later another proposal raised it apart and rebuild it on the 22nd floor of the building. Both proposals were rejected by the National Institute of Fine Arts(INBA). On May of 2004 the INBA demands the preservation of the facade of the house, neighbors opponents seeking suspension. On July of 2014 the project change from residential to Hotel, the new design increase the tall to 57 floors 220meters (By newspaper Excelsior 23/05/14), on november of 2014 the website grupo-eco.com shows an image with only 40 floors, on february of 2016 on the "first stone" event announces 42 floors an 147 meters tall and new date to finish 2018.
