Description
- Architect: Bowd-Munson Company

- Owner: Lansing Board of Water and Light

- This Art Deco structure is composed of brick with a granite base, with the brick changing from yellow near the top to purple near the bottom.

- The building was decommissioned by the Lansing Board of Water and Light in 1992, but partially recommissioned in 2001 for the construction of chiller and steam units to serve the downtown area.

- The Accident Fund Insurance Company announced in October of 2007 their plans to renovate the station as their national headquarters. The renovation, completed by the Christman Company, included adding floors in the existing building, a 4-story, 101,000-square-foot addition directly to the north, and a 1,000-space parking structure.

- The developer removed the station's chimney in December of 2007. Including the chimney, the station once stood 95.4 meters (313 feet) in height.
