Not that I wish to get anyone in trouble but drones can fly below grade. Maybe after hours or a Sunday when no one is working, a flight behind the walls down into the pit would be nice. Just a thought.

It's only two parking levels deep, 6.6m. From the architecture set at the beginning of this thread.

Just get a sense of how deep it is compared to the equipment. Does it look like it is getting any deeper? Things change over time compared to the original proposal, plans and renderings. It is hard to judge from the outside. Can we tell yet if it will be one or two cranes? And anything else you can find that is interesting or neat.

Also this will be the last time anyone will be able to see this area until it is torn down.

for what it's worth, the excavation building permit describes a 4-level underground garage:

Hmm. Wonder why the switch. Doesn’t bother me much either way, but I do question how many condo units can be absorbed at once downtown with this launching and 41 Wilson. Combined they are over 1,500 units... then there are the other projects in the wings with imminent launches like Corktown, 71 Rebecca, City Centre..

Keep in mind we don’t really know when they are selling. As far as I am aware, Cobalt hasn’t actually had a single unit sold, but the signage has been up for 2(?)+ years now.

I imagine it could the same thing here. Spend a few years collecting names, and then sell when the building is, or is close to, completion — and when the market is likely to have gone up further. If you’re like LiUNA and have the money to build without pre-sales… why would you sell for less?

Yes... the only reason there are "pre-sales" is for financing... if the developer has their own financing why would they want to wait until they sell 75% to start construction ?

It makes more sense in my mind for Louna to sell the units finished so they can make more money off them. They are going for max ROI for their pensioners, not for quick profits. Finished units sell for more.

I haven’t heard anything about a switch, and for what it’s worth, their website still gives you the option of indicating interest in a rental unit or a condo unit - but it may well could’ve changed.
