Here's a look at the new World Titans poster!

UPDATE: The poster is now finished - http://skyscraperpage.com/store/posters/world-titans/

This is the upcoming World Titans poster, which will be for sale on the website by the end of the month. There will be two versions of the poster, each with a different background. It was necessary to put a background scene on the poster because Burj Khalifa is so tall!

You like?

It looks great. But I think it would look better and more balanced if it included Shanghai Tower (especially since it's the best looking supertall in the world, by a fair margin) as well, as that would provide a good bridge between the height of Burj Kalifa and all the others.

It's not far enough under construction to put it on a poster. I wouldn't want to print 1000 posters with the Shanghai Tower on them and then have the thing put on hold for the next ten years! Even putting the new 1WTC on the poster is a risk.

Ok, my considerations personally because it is gonna asking, so:
Based on that link: http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=203 http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=204
For sure miss the first ones of those also: http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=201 the ones u/c.

1. Burj Khalifa Eduardo's look is nicier, even the effects not so blue.

2. I miss those buildings in this appearance: Shanghai World Financial Center of Ka777 is better look and more accurate detailed in all also, Nanjing Greenland Financial Complex of Eduardo's look there would be nice, Trump International Hotel & Tower of him also, and of course the wonderful Jin Mao, architetonically one of best buildings in world and tall enough to be there. Miss both of Ka777 Guangzhou International Finance Center, and Jaic Two International Finance Centre also. I personally think ESB is not so important there, because it was already too massive showing that building everywhere. I agree keeping 1WTC there because it is an updated review also to the city look. This improves sales.

3. For this sky seems too sharpy and that confund the background bringing to the front. I'd do more softly. Actually I would put some Bridges Pylons very far half transparent like in smog weather to show as tall like cloudy days. If had some like Orient Pearl of CN Tower very behind would not interfere much those empty side spaces of Burj Khalifa, imo !

My opinion only, but seems I personally not in situation to buy a poster, neither I never did.

Eduardo's Khalifa actually clashed with the style that the other building were drawn in.

Why only 7 drawings? Because there's no space, or that any other 3 wouldn't fit in with those 7..

You're right there's 8, but for example there's no IFC, or Trump Tower.

Looks great. I'm not familiar with the different modelers so I'm not going to say anything there.

That cloud in the middle, behind the Burj, looks like a giant sea horse...
I was hoping there would be more buildings on it as well...
Why aren't Nanjing Greenland Financial Complex, Guangzhou IFC, Trump Chicago, Jin Mao and 2 IFC included? That way all of the 400 metre + towers would be represented...

the sky's a little too saturated for my taste. and the burj's color is off since it's not that blue. it looks more of a grayish-darkblue.

I definitely think Greendland Plaza, Guangzhou IFC, Trump, Jin Mao, and 2IFC should be included. But seeing as the "Freedorm Tower" is included in there, the Al Hamra (which is already topped out and has a fantastic diagram) and the Kingkey Plaza (again, there's a good diagram) should be in there as well. i wouldn't mind paying more money for all the buildings.

The only 400m building not included would be the Makkah Clock Tower. The most recent one doesn't have enough quality and the other ones are old designs. But I think it'd look awesome if we did have a drawing of just the main tower. It would also even out the height difference between the Burj and the rest of the buildings. The only reason why I wouldn't place it on there would be the emotions of people building the poster. I'm perfectly fine with it, but I wonder if having the WTC and the Makkah Tower on the same poster would offend some people (there really isn't anything offensive but... you know people!).

As for the diagrams chosen, I think it's great that it has drawings from various illustrators, but we should focus more on quality (the only ones I have a problem with are the Burj, HK Commerce Center and the Shanghai WFC).

just my 2 cents

lol yeah, people are always seeing things in clouds!

as for the number of buildings and why there aren't more, because Burj Dubai is so tall, putting more buildings on the poster would make the empty area above the buildings very large. this poster is shaped as a vertical rectangle rather than a horizontal one (like all the other SSP posters) as a way of dealing with the Burj Dubai height issue. more buildings would make the poster wider, requiring more clouds. the clouds are there so that half of the poster isn't just blank. also, the poster is at a size of 20 x 30 inches, which is a standard frame size, so an expenive custom frame is not reuired for the poster.

and yeah, there are nine towers on the poster.

An updated 33 Tall Buildings poster can still be sold since it's still a nice collection of tall buildings, but emphasize it's not the tallest buildings in the world as an excuse to leave the Burj out of it.

And plus those Guanghzou TV towers and other up and coming 400+ M Chinese buildings can be on it too.

^yeah, i think an updated version of it, probably using the empty spaces including much more buildings, let's say the 500 first world buildings and towers could do more (Burj Khalifa inclusive), using those white blank areas, for example showing a building behind the middle of Petronas. a very soft well chosen sky 25% filled 75 % transparent could have it made more interesting even. I mean a very dense poster, colorful, all intrinsic, integrated, you know... Put Masts, Bridge Pylons and so on all in, immagine a very very dense of all !

How about this:

(For reference)

Stick the tallest buildings in the middle, descending in height as they spread out, and put the guide labelling them on the top, to either side of the buildings. You could add "Tallest buildings in the world" or something up there too to take up a bit more space. That way you can add the Burj Dubai without having so much empty space. You could even do something like sticking the text on one side, and on the other have a map showing the location of each one in the world.

33 World Buildings is a poster of 33 buildings, not the world's tallest buildings.

Then you could add "33 Random Buildings" or whatever. You don't even have to title it.

You could call it "Equipment of a combat medic" if you like. It's your poster.
