Tony and Eric's Excellent 2007 Adventure: PART 2 - FLORIDA KEYS

The long awaited second part of the Tony-Eric adventure. The Keys are a fantastic get away filled with relaxing, great sleeping weather, beaches in December with 78 degree weather and slllloooooooooooow drivers.

Eric should be able to add his impressions and pictures after this… including some exclusive shots of where we stayed – Marathon on Key Vaca and a tour of the island from my Uncle's boat…

Onward and Southward…

Finally the house we stayed at:

Thank you for viewing my pictures.

It's been too long since I've been down there. Nice shots.

I thought Vegas was the only place that could claim "What happens here, stays here.", then I saw this thread. I guess we'll never know the whole story behind Eric at the beach.

Thanks for the pics guys.

We had fun under a palm tree...and that's that.

Here are my additions:

Route 1 in Marathon.

Elementary school in Marathon.

Tony's grandpapa's tree.

Brunch at the Stuffed Pig, Marathon.

The "less-bias" beach population.

Sombrero Beach, Marathon.

The old 7 Mile Bridge.

Vaca Key to Big Pine Key

The one key that's so cool, it got it's own exit from the old bridge.

Further escaping Detroit.

The first sighting of Big Pine Key.

Oh deer!

Oh Pelicans!

What could have been a really cool picture.

The house on Boot Key Harbor, Marathon.

Florida had some GREAT food all around!

Some big dork.

Going on teh boat.

Saw many wallabys.

Literally, a boat house.

Hurricane food!

Weeeeee...

Where?

Teh house reappears.

Lunch.

Boot Key Harbor from Burdiness.

Zoomin under the 7 Mile Bridge.

Gorillas.

ON TO KEY WEST (NEW YEARS EVE 2006)

Summerland Key

Duval Street, Key West's Burbon Street.

Side street in the Conch Republic. Looks like Cuba.

Key West Lighthouse.

Yet another Michigan-Florida connection.

You want some of this coconut?

Banyan Trees are fun!

Sprawl.

Tony and Taylor get rund over by a big floaty toy.

I spied booty-shakin.

The black guy that hung himelf at the Sunset Celebration.

Margaritaville

The Santa-pulling sausage dog.

Learning how to become a stupid silver man.

The crowd wanting gaybeads.

Hangin out with more old ladies...which the gabronie homeless guy tried to steel.

Numb.

And there goes the Conch.

Mind if I add to the set? I visited my parents in the Keys for four weeks during Christmastime and here are some of the pictures I took.

My street (about 15 minutes from the huge bridge that appears in some of the above photos)

Houses in the Keys are fairly tightly-packed and my 1/3 acre yard is considered very large for the area

These next few are of Bahia Honda State Park

Upon closer examination, Key West is strange.

Great thread, you party animals!
