The Garrick has not operated as a theatre for a long time. Theatres 1 & 2 are a concert/event venue. Theatres 3 & 4 are a waterslide.

One of my friends on Facebook has posted that once the Sals on Henderson moves to its new location (the sign is now on the pylon) the existing Northdale location is converting to a Chicken Chef.

It feels like good old Chicken Chef is building some real buzz... they're opening locations and I hear people talking about it more and more. It's sort of odd given that until recently, it was probably one of the least trendy restaurants I could think of.

Chicken Chef has always been aggressively expanding but mostly in rural areas.

Fried Chicken is really trendy right now. They'll all close again in 5 years.

Was there not a Chicken Chef in the lower level of the Rossmere Shopping Center a number of years ago?

Speaking of chicken...I was at the corner of Inkster and McPhillips on the weekend. There's a Chicken Delight across McPhillips from a KFC there. We need a chicken project to get Popeyes and Mary Browns to open up on the other corners. Maybe fit a Chicken Chef in there too. Make them all flagships of their respective brands (I think the CD is already a flagship - looks nicer than the average location).

Call it "Chicken Corner" - people will come from miles around...

^^ The flagship Jollibee's is just north of McPhillips and Inkster. Also the southeast corner is currently available. You need to get on this Gm0ney.

Had Mary Browns a few weeks ago. It was bad. Would take KFC or Chicken Chef any day. I don't get how they're expanding so fast – don't think it'll last.

This new location is packed for breakfast and lunch with local workers, suits and all.
Have to agree the Exchange Sals is really awesome. Service is top notch and super friendly, food is generously portioned, really good, and inexpensive. Inside decor is fancier than you'd expect at a Sals.

wow, different tastes than I. I found Mary Browns almost the best chicken I've every had, NOT greasy at all. I'm not a fan of their "tators" as they a huge potato wedges and I like skinny fries. Also, remember they are 100% canadian, HQ is Newfoundland

I would agree that it wasn't greasy which was nice. But it had no flavour at all, was just so plain and boring. And yeah, all the sides it came with were terrible. TBH I don't care if it's Canadian if I don't like it. It's food, not charity.

I wish some of these places would open up downtown so I could actually try them.

I thought Mary Brown's was better than any of the other chicken places. I've had it twice at the Reenders location and it was great.

And that’s exactly why they have different fried chicken restaurants.

Mary Browns and Popeyes, best chicken in town other than a couple of local places like The Red Top. Just had Mary Browns on McPhillps Friday, excellent as usual for all locations.
