Uhhh... gotta say that's a rather anti-climactic announcement, and actually, a pretty disappointing and confusing selection of retailers for this space.
Especially when they're listing one of the businesses (Glass Growers), and it isn't even be a part of this new development, existing in its present location around the block since the probably the 1990s. It makes the whole build-up to it seem like somewhat of a con job. Like, wait... what?
I guess I was hoping to see more of a mix of store types, rather than all clothing related, but maybe that's what the EDDC wanted... to create more of a clothing "hub", betting on synergy of purpose, rather than variety.
I just come from the school of business reality when it comes to retail in a downtown area of a small city. You need daily-hourly foot traffic to succeed. I'm really hoping this selection works, because the reputation of the EDDC is on the line here... they shoot an airball with this one, well... it doesn't bode well for what will be the prevailing public opinion in Erie of their planned specialty market/food hall development
