This one ran into slight delay after Harleys photo. Entire Right corner section next to white crane had to be redone due to water issues at base that caused sinking. Will upload photo from today in a bit.

Wonder why we haven't seen any updates from the other proposals on the opposite side of Clyde yet... It's been a while.

They demolished and repoured the section that had issues but have now run into another issue. Crane operators union have gone on strike as of today. Probably affecting multiple sites around the city.

Affected zone being prepped last week.

Site as of today. Heavy materials can't be lowered so most workers stayed home.

Didn't know this new development was all for old people, kinda disappointed

From Riley Brockington's page;
"One tower will be an apartment geared towards older adults, the other for a more mature demographic in need of care"

Ya, they pretty much told us that in the Dev App. See post #1.

Nice to see the progress.

I know it's wrong thread but we haven't heard anything in a while about the other tower proposed across the street. Wonder what's going on with that one...

I suspect that the rising costs of construction are delaying quite a few projects. We're in a very bad position between the housing crisis and affordability (across the board, even for big developers) crisis.

I'm a project manager in the insulation trade and the material cost of Spray Foam has more than tripled in the last year.

Looks like the entire first floor of the podium spanning two towers is poured. Small is not a word I would use to describe it.

I like how set back it is from Maitland and the cutaway at the corner of Baseline. You can't see it in this photos but the renders show a parkette on the corner and it seems to be a good size. I think all corner lot buildings should have something like this whenever possible, even if it's a busy arterial road.

I love this development. It doesn't have to be the tallest, but they are beautiful. Especially on a street corner like this. Amazing!

I have a feeling these will turn out nicely. At the very least even if the finish is "average" I think it's safe to say the change in overall building envelope design will be welcome.

For sure.

The only other building with a rounded corner I can recall is Place Export at 234 Laurier. Now we're getting this and 400 Albert (5 new towers). Nice change.
