Yeah no kidding. Not saying I dislike it but that must be the largest single residential building in the city when measured by linear feet to a floor.

I'd be curious about this (not for any actual useful reason -ha). I killed some time a long time ago on the e-Map with the measuring tool and looking at aerials etc trying to find a bigger residential building in Ottawa by total gross floor area than 641 Bathgate Drive / Crosswinds Apartments. I think it may have longer linear feet per floor than this one, but it's probably close.

That seems like a really large footprint for a building.

Also, funny how most of these units will have parking lot views

I'm all for densification, and this is a great spot for it, but two or three 9 story towers would have been a lot more appealing here.

I was wondering the same thing... Can you imagine being on the 2nd floor, facing north, with a very busy parking lot out all your windows??

I'm sure its just wishful thinking at this point but the parking space within the buildings square footage would be nice if it was converted into some sort of Plaza or green space so that 50% of the units weren't simply looking at a parking lot / grocery store.
