[QUOTE=Harley613;10092863]I'm incredibly curious as to whether that double height 17th floor will have the pool, restaurant, and bar. I'm very confident that it is the separation between the Marriott 230 room hotel and 270 apartments. I imagine they will share this amenity floor.

The 17th Floor will have the Pool & Gym that will be shared between Residents and Hotel Guests. The Restaurant is on the ground floor.

Thanks for the info! Too bad they won't have a roof top ballroom or restaurant.

Too bad they didn't put the gym and pool on the top floor with unobstructed views, instead of on the 17th where you are surrounded by peeping eyes in hundreds of apartments

I agree 100%. but the now considered 36th floor has some nice common areas and exterior terrace for the Residents of the Renaissance. The 17th floor location was simple to allow for shared access as the 36th level is just for renter access.

Love your info, but you still haven't told us where you get it from. It seems reliable so far!

For myself, I have been a manager/sales rep/estimator at the largest insulation company in Canada for the past couple of years. I work on projects up to 6 floors. Our commercial side does highrise work.

Makes sense. If the entire project was a hotel, having public access to the top floor would have made sense (like Delta and Marriott), but since it's half and half, better to have it in the middle.

Drove by and was surprised to see as much of a hole as there is. Is this baby going to rise this year?

This Project will be resuming in April of this year. The design will still be the same as rendered previously and will compliment the 400 Albert St Project as originally planned. The exterior lighting will add a new twist to what we are used to in dark Ottawa.

The Marriott portion will also be something new to this City and more than welcomed.

Saw crews on site in the hole when I walked by today. Maybe BlueJay can give us an update?

Unfortunately that was a crew using the Renaissance site to access work at 400 Albert however, it is getting close and we should see some action within the next few weeks for 395 Slater.

Thanks. I guess that explains why the hole looks exactly the same tonight.
