The tower has been complete since 2016. The concern is regarding the build-out of the interior.

FYI: I will be on a trip down to the area during Christmas week to visit family. I have been missing all of the development action lately, and plan on shooting a ton of photos.

HAIF is very up to date on what's going on, but this thread and the threads on SSP aren't as much. A lot somehow goes under the radar. I plan on trying to help fix that a bit when I get back, or at least helping revive the general developments thread in addition to this one.

That would be nice. HAIF has been annoying lately with one bitter user with a bitter past now bumping every thread.

Almost everything in the foreground (north of Westheimer and east of 610) is new with exception of that old SW Bell building on West Lane and the Target. Even Hotel Derek which was built in the 70's but totally re-clad ten years ago.

The happy medium of Swamplot has been lost, too much minutiae on HAIF and too few updates here on Skyscraper Page. There has been an uptick in day to day bickering on HAIF. Is there a savior out there that could decently summarize HAIF on here without getting into the endless speculation and trivial updates? I'd love to see a render of the new highrise planned on Westheimer by the developer that everyone loves to hate, but god help me if I have to read another bitchfest about what kind of treatment he's going to use on his garage. I know that the part of the city within the 610 loop is the densest area but is the density pretty consistent or no?

The loop isn't a great predictor of uniform density or greatest density.

According to zipdata, of the top densities (by zip) in Houston, only two are inside the loop, 77006 and 77098.

The most consistenly dense area of town is to the west/southwest, outside the loop.

Inside the loop, the density west of I-45 is about 7400 people per square mile. It ranges from 6000 (77007 and 77030) to 11,000 (77006). Qualified by that, I think it could be described as pretty consistent -- but it is still not the densest area.

The area inside the loop east of I-45 at 5000 people per square mile, a pretty sharp decrease from the west side of town.

The Gulfton area...almost all ageing apartment complexes... is the densist area in town.
