A few pics from over the course of the weekend.

I also noticed the crane has a large 1 on it, which leads me to believe we will see at least one other crane go up for this project.

Great photos from the weekend, I was checking out some of these sites too so I probably drove by you at some point.

I think the 1 sign on the tower section is left over from the Nova Centre. These tower sections are interchangeable between cranes of the same make. I was curious if they would put two up on this site too, but I think the reach of the one crane should get both sub sites.

Well, it was nice having a decent view from the library for the first few years.

Just this stuff, I believe. Nothing that will block the view from the Library.

I suspect the view will still be decent. I don't think we need a panorama of the harbour for the view to be good and I doubt it will block more in this view than the existing Westin Nova Scotian or buildings in the mid-ground on Barrington St.

The boom on this one is very long! I still hold out hope for a second crane though. Seems odd they would not take the few minutes necessary to remove the number from the crane section.

Just one crane. It will service both buildings of this project

Driving by the other day I was really surprised to see how much has been done on this already. Though I guess they're not digging down for parking or anything.

Thanks for the Dalhousie Sexton campus construction picture.

Is the construction site the site of the soccer/football field?

No, it was a quasi-parking lot. There is also some construction along Morris, where they removed a few of their office/houses.

Thanks for the info. I can see it on Google Maps - https://www.google.ca/maps/search/se.../data=!3m1!1e3

Thankfully it isn't the soccer field since there isn't much green space on Sexton campus.

This page has a lot of information about this development and some great pictures: https://alumni.dal.ca/news/faculty/i...sexton-campus/

A sample:

The Design Building, facing Morris Street, will have a 450 seat auditorium:

The construction area is larger than I expected.
