DUBAI | Business Central Towers | 53x2 | 869 ftx2 | 2008

One of the more shocking developments from Dubai. Not many buildings can garner such a strong reaction (either positive or negative).

Looks better at night to be honest. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery though, so New Yorkers should be proud that there are so many copies of the Chrysler building (along with that one in Guangzhou, and probably others.)

wow, in daylight they look hideous, but at night they look awesome.

i think these towers could've been something good, but they didn't do it right. they just didnt do it right... sad.

^It looks so shiny and sleek at night, but during the day it looks washed out and plain.

Before I'd seen the daytime pictures, I actually didn't draw the Chrysler connection, immediately. The sunshine revealed everything. Definitely more unique-looking at night than by day.

That said, these are probably one of the better Chrysler knock-offs I've seen, though, I'd probably used another loop of metal on the crown to keep them from looking so stubby from a 45/45 angle.

They are abit empty at the top yes but the rest looks very good at day and at night they look incredible.

The look of them at night must be seen whit your own eyes.

Yeah, why are there two of them?! As if one isn't tacky enough. Why stop at 2? Let's see a cluster of 5 Eiffel towers. Throw in half of a pyramid. An upside down Parthenon. Three blue Golden Gate bridges! The Great Wall of China.... with WALLPAPER!!

Thank goodness Dubailand is stalled. You guys saw that theme park with replicas (some to scale) of the world's landmarks right?

Looks like a theme park version of a double copied Chrysler Building.

Kind of wishing a huge sandstorm would come along and get rid of the architectural disaster this city is producing. These are a horrible knockoff of the amazing Chrysler building.

funny and true.

maybe FOX should create a new reality based TV show built around the theme "when architecture goes wrong......... horribly horribly wrong". these abominations could be the featured stars of the premiere episode.
