LOL Pippi Longstocking! That's an incredible set up, I especially like the miniature vehicles that zoom around.

Looks amazingly detailed...I wanna go! The day/night effect and the computer-controlled cars and ships are so cool.

That's crazy. I'd probably spend all day in there just staring and drooling.

Hot damn! At first I thought it was just trains... then came the moving cars and trucks, then ships, the dead guy in the river, and then an airport!

I've been considering making Hamburg one of my destinations in 2011, but I think this video just sealed the deal.

Cool

I love the miniature wonderland ! I have seen here in Germany sony TV documentations about it and I live here in Hannover less than 180 km away.
I also plan to go there.It is made up from two twin brothers with there own money and not by public money or support .When they startet , they hoped to have anytimes 100 000 - 500 000 visitors a year . after a few years they have had more than 1000 000 visitors and now up to 2000 000 visitors a year with more than 2 hours waiting lines . Now they have more than 60 empoyees and another 60 volunteers . They were honoured (the twins) by the city of Hamburg for the best buisinessman / selfmademan of the year !
Visitors come from troughout Germany to the far north port city,many from the south like Bavaria , and many from neighboring countries like NL;BELGIUM;
AUSTRIA and Switzerland ,where many detail fanatics live and they love this scale model . It is hosted in Hamburgs historic Speicherstadt (Warehouse city)just next to the super modern and huge Hafencity (Harbour city U/C).

If you can't get to Germany, there is a similiar layout in New Jersey called Northlandz. Google it and you are sure to find it. It used to be the world's largest until this place was built.

We used to have one of those mini train- model sets where I used to live. It was automatic and everything. It had hills, and even had a mini city witht hebackground too.
