Yes the "impartial" City staffers hard at work here...

well some City staff for sure shouldn't have their jobs... or only have them because they are so biased one way or the other.

Just as an FYI this was approved unanimously at its DP hearing last week.

Next stop construction.

Take it up with H&M, this is a tenant build out, not the landlord.

Probably restricted on the amount of work they can do during shopping hours?

Interesting, so a tenant is allowed/responible for exterior alterations?

Walked by on Georgia and looked over - doesn't look like pleated glass (didn't seem very reflective). Will have to take another look.

There would be a thick book of tenant guidelines and requirements and would be subject to landlord's approval.
Aritzia also has a unique storefront facing Granville.

This seemed to take a long time with nothing happening for quite a while. I wonder if the original materials or fabrication had issues and therefore this is a less interesting but non-problematic alternative.

There is still no escalator connecting the mens to the rest of the store.

Last time I was there a few weeks ago there were a number of empty spaces down near the Sephora end, the La Senza store was all hoarded up and another one I forget what was there before. No signs of what might be moving in.

The recently opened Miniso on Granville next to the previous Granville 7 cinemas announced that it is shutting down. Brave of them to open up at the location in the first place, but personally I think the City has let the homeless situation of the neighbourhood go out of hand. We should have a City business/sidewalk by-law like Vernon's.

Miniso agreed to close a number of stores for their bankruptcy apparently. I always forgot that that store was even there.

Thanks for the H&M pics.
Not as flashy as the original rendering depicted.

You have to wonder about the architects when they place the H&M sign hidden behind the Pacific Centre blade sign.
