The transformation of this block (bounded Randolph/Michigan/Lake/Wabsh) over the past 10-15 years is pretty cool. Used to be dingy fast food restaurants, parking garages, a big vacant mid-rise. Now it's got hotels, restaurants, residential high rises... a good microcosm of what this mega-cycle has done for the city as a whole.

This demo is for the Roszak project, right? Crazy that the mid-block project (MDA City Apts - Phase 2) has not started yet. It looks like the demo crews are using that lot for stockpiling, though.

just wish what was going here was a little more quality architecture and height for this location

I would argue that it doesn't, but to each their own. I guess maybe if you're talking about near the High Line, but then again not really. The ones around the High Line look much better. But this one still looks OK to me.

Checked and yes - the white boom is Superior House - the moon blocker on Grand has a red boom.
