Thanks very much Pingyao. I'll probably do some low rise buildings today!
But I don't know about the street lamps. I would have to get them off the 3d ware house because they would be hard to make. I'm also worried it will lag too mush. Thats why i have no shadows and i got rid of the cranes.
Oh well thanks for your input!

Keep up the good work - I would suggest focusing on one block at a time this way you maximize the level of detail.

But ill try.

The Beachy Beachanator Center is a interesting design, I like it a lot. Especially the scene from groundlevel with all the trees is lovely.

You've gotten some good advice on how to improve the realism of your model. We all have different tastes when it comes to this kind of art, so my only advice is that try to think about what excites you most in other peoples 3d cities and then try to improve your model in that direction.

I really like your enthusiasm - keep it up!

Thanks vellu! Lol the Beachy Beachanator Center is the most retarded name ever so ill change it soon. I'm going an update tomorrow. I'm working on a resedential low rise with a couple of shops and cafes at the bottom.

Once upon a time, Aleks,we all know Aleks, well he created a city called La Corte. This city was downright incredible. Especially the way he buildt every building so slowly and the way he buildt them looked like they were actually under construction. So I want to thank you Aleks. Not only Aleks but Vellu, Dac150, JHoward, Pingyao, Flamesrule, Patrick, VerticalExtropy(did I spell that right?) and Tolbert and Mochocolate and Treras. did I miss anyone?

Patrick, he inspired lots of people, me included. Staunton although not technically dead, was one of the greatest 3D cities.

I don't see any reason to give up. You're doing fine. I've been working on my project for over 2 years now, and It'll probably be easily another 2 years before I'm done with it. Satisfying results take time. If you get tired of working on it, forget about it for a while and come back to it when you regain inspiration.

I usually work on my models while I watch a TV show or listen to music in the background. It helps make up for the boring, tedious, and repetitive parts of modelling.

Yes, you are doing fine. I think you worked too fast on the model, and so you got bored on it. If you worked at a slower pace, you might have not been bored of it.

Like JHoward said, take some time off and when you are motivated, you can start working on it again.

You are extremely promising. Freshwater place is a real good design! It does remind me of my beginning but damn you say you're 12! VERY promising.
