I finally got back around the Hydrostone area today in the daytime with a camera. Construction is progressing really quickly and I have almost no doubt it will be open in the late Spring 2010. On another note the building is visible now along the Robie corridor and gives the Young Tower and Gladstone Towers some badly needed company;

Looks great! From that first picture it looks like it could have even done with a few more floors!

Yep, two more floors would have been great for the visibility of this development.

Well according to Council's agenda the St. Joseph's proposal is moving forward to the public phase so there might be a nice taller one in the background in a couple of years.

I drove by on the way home tonight and noticed two things;

- They have what looks to be plywood or wood as a base for the exterior on the Young/Kaye side.

- Also they now have a sign up stating one of the tenants is going to be Starbucks (expected opening Spring 2010)

That is a great fit for the location.

Back by the site tonight and there hasn't really been much progress this week. They are still working on the exterior on the bottom floor facing Young/Kaye.

According to the update advertisement on PartnersGlobal website two of the five ground floor commercial spaces are leased (one to Starbucks).

I live around the corner from this project and drive by every day on the way to/from work. Just this week they started the cladding. The second floor is now clad in a dark brown (almost black) brick. It look awesome!!! I think. Maybe tomorrow I'll go for a walk and take some snapshots.

would have been pretty funny to watch this and spice start at the same time lol.

This has got to be the fastest development to go up that I remember, relevant to its size atleast.

I'm liking the look of the dark brick. I'm excited to see what the other materials will be used.

It most certainly does look good especially when compared to the rest of the block.

I probably won't be back in the area for awhile so wait like a week and you can claim the next set of photos.

If your really ambictious you can walk down to 5505 Falkland. We haven't had any complete photos of that yet.

^Nice photos Takeo

I was only in the area for a few minutes yesterday so I couldn't get any of the cooler angles. Good to see you found them though.
