those two townhouses look rather silly until the rest of them are built.

What a difference half-a-decade makes.

It will be interesting to actually walk that street when all this is complete. Will it feel "live" or is it Memorex.

I've been by, and they've done a lot of things right that will make it feel alive. Part of what makes it alive will be the people and businesses and the city. If people complain about noise and such, it'll kill it.

Looks like it will be a cute downtown style street, love how this is turning out!

Offtopic wouldn't it make sense for Grimsby to be a part of Hamilton instead of Niagara? West Lincoln Memorial Hospital is already under Hamilton Health Sciences which is weird.

Good.

Many "traditional" Grimsby folk (Grimsbyites? Grimsbians? Grimsbites?) don't want change. This could never happen anywhere else in town.

My sister and her family live in an older home near the centre of town. They're still up in arms about a condo development on a piece of land that has sat vacant for years, even after DeSantis scaled it back, and worry about other things proposed for the downtown area.

Add more voices to the suburban political chorus? No thanks.

There are a lot of people from Hamilton who moved to Grimsby to find their paradise. I doubt they'd want that arrangement either.

So much parking… if that was green space it would be so much nicer.

Agreed. They require some shrubbery.
