Looks like this revitalization isn't going to happen.

Probably should be Activity Spotted AROUND Campanile. Since there is no one on site yet (try and remain optimistic, try and remain optimistic...).

Here is 13th from Peachtree this morning.

I am not a litigious person, BUT, can the city not sue these guys? How does the city allow this to sit like this for so long?

You could throw a football and hit Opus.
I'm right now in a city whose name I won't mention, seeing a lot worse.

that doesn't even bother me personally - these are far more livable buildings than the 5 story stick built shit you see going up everywhere. at least you get some degree of noise isolation in these concrete structures.

The Pine St development will have a HUGE impact on the area. It will be replacing the Budgetel which is a low budget extended stay hotel notorious for housing drug addicts. Many of which I've seen openly do drugs at Renaissance Park a block away then walk over to the hotel.

Agree. The design is boring but it will be a massive improvement in terms of crime and drug use in the neighborhood

What is the status on this project? Other than the opening Ted Turner haven't really noticed much progress in years now.

I think this will be the main construction entererance for heavy equipment to the gultch while they are building centennial yards. I believe they will finish the viaduct years from now. There is not an easy way to get down to the gultch for large equipment with all the tracks and older streets that are narrow

Interesting, Upper Alabama 1 block over goes into The Gulch. I have only ran down in it so maybe Ted Turner overpass is not enough clearance but it seemed high.
