Smile NEW YORK | Hudson Yards Phase 2 | 1,376 - 1,189 - 1,180 FT | 80/80/74 FLOORS

http://www.hudsonyardsnewyork.com/news-press
Images of the HY Phase 2 were released, and we have a new supertall! It seems to be the Phase 2 office tower.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is not the only one. Phase I provided so much, can't even imagine the benefits of the second phase. A city within a city.

Dont read too much into those designs, they're placeholders. (We barely have designs complete for the towers they are building now.) But other than 50 Hudson, which will be built first, the office tower in phase 2 will be the last of Related's office towers in the Hudson Yards.

Interestingly enough 50HY is missing from that rendering, as is 55 HY.

The fate of phase 2 is bound to the economy. So long as the cycle continues strong as its been and increases in its power, and can hold strong for the next 10 years, then we may see down the line something on the scale of phase 1. Thats IF the market is bullish.

The scale of phase 2 is already determined. They just have no plans to commence the development until phase 1 is completed in 2018. It could begin soon after,
or a few years down the line. Remember, phase 1 was on hold for a few years as well.

Phase 2 is also the portion of the development where Related expects to make the most money (it's primarily residential).

While it is definitely preliminary, that tall one is certainly a super tall at around 1050ft. The two other tall ones look to be about 750-800ft. Definitely some nice height there in phase 2.

I am hesitant to take phase II exactly as it is. It will change most likely, and these are really concepts or visions of what may arise. Ultimately, it is very likely that parts of it will change, just like phase 1.

VG, how old is that render? 432 Park isn't done yet in it.

I have to admit, I've always admired glass and stone faced towers, but with every tower in glass, it just looks so futuristic and exciting!

Star Trek...

The Chicago Spire would fit In nicely if plopped down right in the middle.

A new picture of the tower has appeared at the related site, showing that this is taller than 35 HY.

Interesting that Related added Tower Verre but left out Nordstrom and Steinway in their rendering.

Either Related's buildings are rendered too tall or the Empire State is shown too short but something looks off in that rendering. Tower Verre looks taller than the ESB.

I thought Tower Verre (or 53W53) was being developed by Hines?
