Well, they've actually been working on that already. So, in that sense, the tower is already under construction, just not visible to us. They've been under time constraint to get that completed, because that portion of the new LIRR terminal was completed by the MTA. But because of the column placement, JP Morgan had to go in and do that all over, at a significant cost.
The plan was always for 270 to start rising next year, but they had the added push of getting out of the MTA's way. Foundation work is supposed to be complete by the end of June next year. Also one of the reasons there was still some construction on site during the pandemic shut down.

Yeah, this tower is not only being built over the upper level tracks, but the LIRR concourse as well. You have to squeeze as much infrastructure as you can, where you can in these dense neighborhoods. The Grand Hyatt tower will be another complicated project.
