It looks great and all but I feel without having extra museums to bring even more people to the area than might otherwise would be then it's just going to be a lot of open space with little activity. Screw Houston and Fort Worth, Build museums anyways or do a different kind of museum. Ultimately will just have to wait and see. Regardless I'm sure the mall will increase the amount of people but it could have been so much more.

Nice. There's a lot of awesome crane porn happening at the north end of the Capitol Complex and the south end of campus.

All of the Capitol Complex towers have really large underground parking garages, especially 1801 Congress, which has 5 levels of full-block parking underground.

Not sure if you know this... pardon the repeat if you do.
All the parking under both new towers and all of congress for
those 3 blocks will all be one large underground parking complex.

There's also aboveground parking at 1801 congress, but only in part of the building. If there's one thing that's consistent throughout the entire Capitol Complex, it's an abundance of parking.

With all of this parking, one can hope that their plan is to redevelop some of those old parking garages.

That is "phase 3". Very far down the road. Somewhere on this thread there is a like to the full plan. Shows each phase.

Three tower cranes are going up to build the seven underground parking levels in the Texas Mall. This will make for 20 cranes up in this area if they and the Moody Center cranes go up in the near future.

Here's a new map that was posted for AULCC that shows the locations for the three cranes to be used for building the parking levels below the mall. Tower cranes for building something below ground seems unusual.
