Nice pics! They look great. I, however, hate that angle of downtown from just north of I-10 at 7th St. In the 4th from last picture you can see a "ghost bus"... it would be cool if it was the LR train.

keep up the good work!

Whats wrong with that angle? I think it's one of the best available.

From that angle if you just glance at it, it looks like downtown has 3 buildings... the AZ center+BofA cluster looks like 1. The Sheraton is 2. And the Chase cluster looks like 3. It's just not my fave.

The best is either on I-10 WB/I-17to I-10 ramp at the stack, or on I-10 due east of downtown at Washington or so.

If we ever get a couple building up on Block 23, it would fill in the gap between BofA and Sheraton nicely and really expand the skyline. Some day.

Good work. Are you doing these handheld or with a tri-pod?

Anybody else think the AT control tower at Sky Harbor would have been so much better looking with a cylindrical base?

Most are tri-pod, a couple are handheld...but it was windy as hell and the camera was still moving on the tri-pod.

I want to wait until we get one of those days with the big white clouds in the sky and hopefully no wind, that will make for some great looking shots as the sky is usually a very nice blue.

Great photos!...the colors look great and show the versatility of the overall skyline.

That angle off of the I-10 and 7th St. is great because it shows all the mid-rise buildings (the ASU buildings, Alta Phoenix, and even parking garages) adding layers that enhance skyline.

Did you take the photo from one of the parking garages by Good Sam?

I agree, but its ridiculously hard to take a photo from that angle unless you're a passenger in the car and your hands are steady. Are there any stationary locations to get that angle of the skyline? The only area I've been able to come up with so far is the parking structure at Phoenix College on 15th and Thomas, but even that's a little too far due north and doesn't capture the essence of what you see of downtown at the stack...

I love whatever lens this is, HX. It almost looks like Phoenix has been rotoscoped

I know its an HDR shot but I think the glass in CityScape is utterly beautiful and very underrated.

I know its not Dubai or anything but does this:

Really look like an 'office park'?

EDIT: VV No problem, just seemed like an odd question. Everything seems big to a twelve year old I suppose.

huh.

I remeber visiting phoenix when I was like twelve. (eight years ago)

And for some reason I remember the skyline as being HUGE. Thats why I thought it might have been something outside of the city. I honestly wasn't trying to knock phoenix. my apologies.
