Nice job, I like that we got a peek of the new Downtown Phoenix map/kiosk thing- though I still hate the color scheme.

EDIT: Also, Ive wondered, HX_Guy if you know Gymrat in 'real life' as they say here on the internet, why don't you show him how to upload stuff on his own? Not that I care one way or another, it just seems like a give a man/teach a man to fish kinda situation.

In that last pic, are they unloading a tree for landscaping? is this going to have pine trees for landscaping?

No, that's the "topping off" tree which it's custom to put on top of the building when it's topped off...I think?

Traditionally the "topping off tree" is the pine tree. It represents good luck, good health, and good fortune I believe. Or, something to that effect.

Yes, It is the topping off tree. I just got lucky and caught it out of the corner of my eye as I was leaving. Had to get a shot of it.

pic 1,2 - NE corner of Cityscape...will that be an outdoor cafe?
Pic 3, 4 Cityscape shots
Pic 5 garage up to level 3 and growing fast
Pic 6 Subway expending south
Pic 7 inside of Civic Space PArk building - Went to the first public use of it - Phil Gordon coffee
Pic 8, 9 Civic Space Park....they have done a great job of maintaining it. Grass couldn't look better. I know many were concerned that areas were browning. I also kinda like the anti-sakteboarding additions to the cement retaining walls. Gives them a more city-look.
Pic 10 New plantings going in at LR across from OCPE. Nice new grasses!
Pic 11 Another Subway expansion shot
Pic 12 Workers at PSP site
Pic 13, 14 Inside of renovations of Luhrs building ( in the mid section, not the front shop area)
Pic 15, 16 New Court building shots
Pic 17 Cityscape topping out pine tree being unloaded for tomorrow morning's ceremony.

I am off to NYC for 2 weeks. I expect some updates HX...E-mail me, especially about tomorrow morning's announcements.

First off, thanks Gymrat for taking the pictures and thanks to HX for posting.

The grass does look great. Typically Bermuda Grass during the monsoon season (even though it hasn't really rained in DT) thrives because of the increased humidity and the decrease in evaporation rates.

I know that Central Station was supposed to undergo renovations. The new landscaping going in: could be the beginning of the renovations?

Park looks GREAT! I'm so impressed! Too bad there isn't a little more color...but I guess the landscaping isn't completely finished, right?
