By looking at the SSP diagram, I think that is the Regions Bank Building, an 18-floor tower from 1929. The RSA Battle House Tower looks unusual in the skyline but it's an interesting design, with that sloping crown and spire. However, the City-County Building is one of the most unusual structures I've seen.

Thanks for the pics, sfmob.

Drove through about a month and a half ago going from Gulf Port, MS to Pensacola, FL (and back) and the new tower looked good in the skyline both ways. Some of the angles in these pics don't do the skyline any justice but that happens to plenty of skylines when photographing. Besides that...always have a good time when in Mobilly/Gulf Shores...even experienced my first hurricane (Hurricane Georges) some time ago while working an event at USA...go Jags!

After having not seen a Mobile thread in forever on this forum, its quite an impressive city. One of the few where its low-rise streetfronts actually interest me more than the high-rises. Once the RSA Tower has some taller company, that's going to be one hell of a skyline

Looks like a nice city!
The RSA Tower is a nice addition to the small skyline.
