Le Marais is one of oldest district of Paris, largely untouched by Haussmann work.
Le Marais is an upscale trendy shopping district, a jewish district, a gay district... etc
The area is very expensive, it used to be a working class district in the past; not anymore. Unaffordable place to live for the average people.
This thread is made of various trips in the Marais, don't be suprised if you see pictures with a different weather or seasons.
