Imperial palace of Remus!

So I decided to try and make the Imperial palace as great as my cathedral model!

So, here is the layout!

I'm not sure if I should go with multiple brick colors or just one?


The palace has a royal opera hall, a royal cathedral, guest rooms, great halls, the Imperial family residence wing, and the executive offices wing!

The oldest part is in the middle of the three sections.

So I would also like advice on how to make the windows and decorations for it.

Interesting to see what this will become. Maybe you should decide from which time period each part of the complex is and then choose an architectural style from that period and use it as a reference for the decorations and stuff.

I actually had a problem with this model!

For some reason when I added a new texture, another one would disappear!

I decided just to make a new one!

It now has a better layout anyway!

And it will have mostly the same style!

Here is the executive office!

The Imperial cathedral! It's getting windows already!

The imperial opera hall! It's just the basic shape right now.

In 1953, when communism was banned from the city, a soviet spy attempted to assassinate the emperor by shooting through the windows of this hallway!

The shots missed, and after this event the windows where made bulletproof!

Lol! Thats in star trek!

My Remus is the long lost twin city of Rome!

It was a very rich roman man who know the empire was falling, so he took his whole family and all his servants and their families, and sailed away to an island near Brazil!

Here is what I've gotten done on the palace!
The diferent roofs mark additions!

The east wing!

The west wing!

The golden balcony! The original section of the palace has gold plate!

I like it, though I'm wondering why this section has been so dead recently. Anyone have thoughts about it?

This has moved along nicely! I really like the detailing of the golden balcony. The Imperial Cathedral is also a niece piece of architecture.

Well, my collage classes have started, so I will no longer have time for sketchup!

So this is the last update for a while!
The original section of the palace was covered in gold plating!


There is supposed to be more gold on the right and left of this, but I don't have time to do it now.

Quite nice decorations! There's so much gold, that it would be very interesting to see this rendered with good materials.
