These blow my mind, just like the first time I set my eyes on the city last summer. Beautiful place - but it has terrible sprawl ravaging the Everglades. The second pics my fav - thanks.

I wouldn't want to be a kill joy here, but I heard the FAA only allows model air craft to fly at 400 feet tops.

I saw on the news yesterday a company here in Austin uses a gas powered model helicopter with a camera mounted on it. They take it up and photograph the views for developers so they can show what the condo views will look like. They mentioned that the FAA only allows them to go up to 400 feet.

That is so cool, though. Man, I'd love to do that myself. Looks like a lot of fun.

kevin I haven't heard of that FAA ruling...interesting!

citydweller Miami's sprawl isn't huge compared to other metropolitan areas, in fact Miami has a urban development boundary line that doesn't allow any growth beyond it. From downtown to the boundary is only 14 miles east to west.
