Kansas City, its region, and other issues

This is stuff ranging from the first of the year on up to early May.

Starting...

We're still early in the year, here...

Venus with the moon...

Some Kansas City Mardi Gras...

Around about Union Hill in the early morning...

Coworkers and such... all serious business here you know.

Anyway...

Yes, this whole set is in chronological order...

Me times three to hurl jests and taunts in your immediate direction...
(and my hand about got frost-bitten when I took off my glove to operate the shutter cable release)

That same day and same vicinity at nightfall, with the snow now melted...

Crossroads Dist. - April.

The KCMO Mounted Police - with a very difficult time getting a passable shot given the low light, horse movement, and the fact that my 5D's ISO will only go up to 3200.

Stafford KS, Easter weekend - actually not Kansas City at all, other than I went out there to visit some family and happened to also take pictures there too...

- this one could be regarded as more of a catapult than a teeter totter if we wanted to be a bit wrong...

Cloudy sunrise, Stafford KS and one of its grain silos...

On the way back to Kansas City, half way there, I stopped in the Flint Hills of Kansas for photos. As it turned out, the only photo I thought came out interesting was this one of my car all sullied with Stafford County mud, owing to the rain combined with dirt roads...

Couple hours later here, now we're in Merriam KS. Sure looks like suburban retail is where it's at these days doesn't it.

Back in Kansas City Missouri.

The April 15th "Tea Party...."

And now back to matters of agriculture...

These three friends were all ready for prom later that evening...

Theater dome....

A stormy sunrise...

Scenes from the Kansas City AIDS Walk...

And more hither and thither...

Yes, I am aware of the HDR-induced halos, before you go lecturing me...

Dog of the Red Carpet...

I'll leave it to your imagination...

Christen, minding the options desk executively.

May Day...

Cinco de Mayo festivities of 2009...

Later....

Chickies, panties and small window crawl spaces. Silhouette hos. WTF. Would take many nanoseconds to analyze the scope of this pic. Has more meaningful depth than a Peter Greenaway flick.
