Updates: It's confirmed to be opening in May 2024. And the mall has confirmed to a comment on FB that it will be located inside the former Ardene across from the new Torrid store.

Aparently a source is saying that the former Fabricville space at Parkway Mall has now been leased. Mall management told the source who was looking into leasing the space that a grocery store tenant has actually leased the space so it's no longer available.

Odd. Small space for a mainstream type grocery store and an unusual location for any kind of smaller specialty or boutique type grocery operation.

I think the visibility from a high traffic road, (McAllister Drive), could be a reason for choosing the location. It's most likely a smaller mom and pop type of grocery store. Kind of like Saveway in Fredericton for example. The former Fabricville space is around 10,000sf I believe. Plus that would be the only area in the east side retail area, with a large enough space available and that doesn't already have a grocery type of tenant. SmartCentres has Walmart and Giant Tiger, East Point has Sobeys and Costco. Parkway Mall is the only place available for a new grocery tenant. Overall, this is interesting. Curious to see who it is.

Was posted over on Retail Talk & Share NB that McDonald's on McAllister Drive will be undergoing a large renovation starting on May 6th until June 15th.

The Drive thru will remain OPEN 24/7 from May6th until May27th. And part of this renovation includes the parking lot which will also under go a full face lift.

The Main Street, (North), location underwent renovations back at the end of 2023. A completely new look/layout inside.
