A Phoenix, Arizona-based multifamily developer will bring a project to the Pearl District that the upscale neighborhood hasn't seen all that much of: senior living.

Alliance Residential Company's first Portland project will be the Holden Pearl District, a 16-story, 226-unit memory care, assisted living and independent living community. It will be located at 1300 N.W. Quimby St. on a lot currently owned by Hoyt St. Properties.

This appeared to breeze through fairly easily. Liking the infill and feels like a good fit. Definitely intrigued by what block 285(?) will turn out to be.

Whoever is financing it has confidence that that pro forma still stacks up. There are lots of baby boomers who are ageing...

Assisted living and affordable housing will be the markets that will contribute to A&E firms and contractors surviving this COVID caused recession.
