This looks like it is gonna be a good tower addition to the Pearl District. It will also look good in the future skyline of the Post Office site.

The pleasant surprise for me is seeing this proposal to retain at least the 2-story historic facade on the SE corner of the block and set the new tower back from the facade faces.. This is a solid effort to fit into the Pearl District context.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that. That would be a good move for this development, and should help preserve much of the characteristic of the block while allowing for a new development.

Hopefully the preferred option is selected. I like the all glass look. Modern and sleek.

From what I can tell, this would be adjacent to the planned Phillip apartment building.

^Yeah, looks like Phillip is using the address of 514 NW 9th Ave and this proposal is using 555 NW Park Ave.

This is pretty puzzling. I just looked again at the DAR from July for the 23-story Phillips-Honeyman building for the eastern half of the historic Honeyman Hardware Block. The western half is comprised of the taller Cotter Building and the Bindery Building. Both of those buildings were left intact in the Phillips-Honeyman Building proposal.

Could it be that the 11-story proposal is for the SW quarter of the historic block occupied by the Bindery Building?

The math doesn't appear to work for a quarter block

With 200 units and 10 floors of dwelling, that would be 20 apartments per floor.
