Here's the google street view of the what it looked like before. The property line at the corner is curved, a legacy of SE 3rd once being the access to the freeway in Sullivan's Gulch. The new sidewalk has a tighter radius at the corner, creating room for the new tree.

Hopefully the single level Salt and Straw warehouse next to it gets redeveloped next.

I actually didn't know that was their corporate office. Unfortunately unless zoning changes, that block is listed as a IG1, so it is currently zoned for industrial use.
