It seems pretty steep to me, considering you could get an equivalent condo in The Roy or Bishop's Landing for less than that (both currently have a 2-bdrm, 900ish SF unit with an asking price in the $475k range). To be fair, many people WANT to rent because they don't want to be tied down or have the hassle of ownership, but it does blow my mind a bit that there are enough people who want to rent at $2750/month.
