Just on the west side though. The east side has been fine

hard to complain too much about this podium compared to the independent and some of the other metal screen atrocities out there

and something is gonna get built on the west side for sure which will cover up the podium from that angle

This is my favorite side of the tower. Reminds me of a cactus

Also-just entered a drawing request for 98 Red River and 80 Red River. Whenever the two are completed 98 Red River will push 6XGUAD to 7th tallest in the state with 80 Red River coming in at 8th place.

Man, this is in such a good location to be able to balance out the center of the DT core. I think it will look great with the independent and austonian on either side, accentuating it.

Right! Straight from Phoenix, where the saguaros are taller than the buildings.

And three in the top eight's not bad, considering that 98 will be the tallest. (Although I have a sneaking suspicion that something's going to happen in Dallas, first.)

The diagram of 6XG needs to be stretched up to 883'. It's still at the 848' height. Also, will they use the 1034' FAA height for 98 Red River?

Haha, I'm always going to see a cactus when I see if from that side now. Hilarious.

They really need to add 4 feet (maybe a hand, extending its middle finger like the Alioto Law Offices in San Francisco have on their roof) to 6X just because Renaissance Tower built that ridiculous spire which looks ugly as hell on that ugly box of a building so they could pass THREE other buildings in Dallas to become Dallas' tallest. That would serve them right.
Now if 6X could only have the curb appeal that Renaissance Tower has, that would be a bonus, but, unfortunately, 6X is butt-ugly when it comes to that, because 6X's curb appeal is nonexistent.

Should be right around 300' given that the neighboring 300 West 6th is 328'

The core reached level 25 this weekend. The crane should be getting its first jump soon.

That puts it at 38% already.

We just returned from Atlanta and it occurred to me that 6x would be the 2nd tallest building in that city. Kinda puts things in perspective. There are no shortage of tall buildings there.

EDIT: 3rd tallest if including antenna of SunTrust Plaza. Still...

We still don't have corroborating evidence that 883' is the actual height now. An FAA permit alone is not a sure thing.
