San Francisco / Los Angeles

Hey all. My very first post: some highlights of my trip to California last summer.

Very nice! It looks like you went up to Yamashiro's in LA and got some shots of the local neighborhoods in the hills. LA and SF for vacation sounds splendid.

So.... What's your thoughts on the two cities, and where did you get pho at? Also, I saw that same girl skating at Venice Beach when I was last down there; She's amazing!

They're both great cities. SF is a more compact, "traditional" city, with an incredibly beautiful natural setting. Mix that up with the funky architecture and it's a photographer's dream.

LA is of course, very beautiful as well, in a different way, but very photogenic and laid back.

The boat noodles dish I got in East Hollywood somewhere. The secret flavoring is pork blood. Yeah.

Pho is a great hangover cure -- got that in the Richmond district in SF, where they had some pretty good Vietnamese food in general.

rivals but different as night and day. no disrespect to LA but San Francisco blows it away IMO
