My folks used to take us to Edwards Gardens back in the day. I don't think I've been since I was 8 so don't remember much. Barely remember Allan Gardens too. Being in the west end burbs since, I've of course visited Kariya Park in Sauga and Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington. And some other small gardens in Oakville. Ya I would think given Van's climate, it would make more sense they have the more impressive gardens. Is it the biggest in Canada?

On the great thread "What is your city missing?", there's quite a few shortcomings for TO I seem to recall. Off the top of my head I pointed out the lack of planetarium since it closed to the public long ago. No permanent ferris wheel like in MTL. No natural pond you can rent pedal and row boats on, not even at High Park. And in the cycling thread I pointed out that pre Pan Am games there was not even an outdoor velodrome let alone an indoor one.
