I was born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, a western burb of Paris.
The first person I met was probably a regular nurse of the French welfare state. Thankfully.
I can't find any pic of the hospital. It must be uninteresting anyway.
Or it seems like it merged with that of Poissy, the neighboring suburb where St-Louis himself was born some 800 years ago.
I swear I hate hospitals. They smell like medicine and death.
It'd be easier and cheaper to give birth downright in one's home.
Still with a nurse, of course.
