Sarajevo Rising!

On any future map of major European skylines, the capital city of Bosnia & Herzegovina will not be easily over-looked.

Welcome to Sarajevo!

Older, post-Civil War photo...

Wonderful comeback. I think the last time I saw pics of Sarajevo, most of the buildings had shells blasted through them.

I like that commie twin towers more than new Bosmal twins. I looked also at the skyscraperpage diagram and there is that new skyscraper, but the roof is written to have 142 metres and spire 172 metres, it is true?

I've never been able to understand Sarajevo for years. it's skyscrapers on one side, and little houses across the street
it makes no urban sense to me, when you see the huge commieblocks set in the middle of individual houses.

This looks like an Urban Planner’s petri dish. I don’t believe I have ever seen much about this city. It looks so clean and safe - much different than I expected. One thing though.. it seems to be mostly residential with very little commercial space. Where do people work?
