Canada could field a B team in CONCACAF now and compete for that fourth spot.

It's amazing how fast this program is growing (in numbers and reputation). Bodes well for the future!

And our B team these days would probably give our 2005-2015 A team a good run.

Unsuccessful again! There was no heads up from FIFA and, sadly, also the Voyageurs that the tickets were going on sale this morning. I know there is a lot of demand but it seems like the few people in the know are trying to reduce competition. So far, only England, Mexico, and (checks notes)...Canada have sold out their group match packages!

Guess my last shot is individual tickets after the group draw on April 1st

Ya. Got nothing from the lottery and by the time I got in the ticket website today (was in queue for 5 hours) there wasn't any Canada group packages available

10 men and now down 1-0... not promising.

Unfortunate not to get the equalizer. Even with 10 there were opportunities.

Think it shows how far we've come - 10-men away in Central America used to lead to very bad things. Kaye was foolish for doing what he did that early on in the match.

Granted that was a yellow (even a red card offence) but for the 2nd yellow the Costa Rican player went down like a sack of spuds. Total gamesmanship and general critterlike move. No shame in his actions and he milked it for all he could. Players like that usually end up getting injured by opponents after a play like that when the ref isn't looking.

Any hope of replacing the 'homer' colour commentator Terry Dunfield. He's an embarrassment.

Doesn't really matter. Kaye was lucky not to get a straight red early on. Gamesmanship is apart of this...complaining about diving or simulation doesn't really get us anywhere at the end of the day.

Why do you want non-biased commentators for NT games? If a Canadian is calling CMNT games i'm assuming they'll always have a slant. I get the desire for neutral commentators for club sports but I don't understand the desire for neutral commentators for NT matches.

I don't see why the preference would change between the two. The don't have to actually be from a neutral country but I'd still like them to at least make an effort to present themselves neutrally.

(haven't watched this or any soccer recently but just finished the 6 Nations rugby championship, and they tend to have at least one commentator from a third nation not on the field, or one from each country. And if they are from one of the participation nations, they tend to err on the side of being more critical of them than the other commentator)

Homerism is annoying at every level.

I watched the game in a pub with the music on. All of us were watching but nobody asked to have sound turned up. I'm actually rather agnostic about the homerism or lack there of.
