The New city of Stonnington.

Since the old thread was a bit stuffed up, I now know how to post images. So I created this city about a week ago, and I've been working on it everyday basically.

I've decided against using textures. I'm using the free version of sketch up, and the textures that come with it don't look very nice.
Anyway I reckon colours look just fine.

I like the creativity. Though, if you want to get it really realistic, you might want to use photo textures instead of colors, as some of the colors are bright.

Also, it looks like a lot of your buildings are not completed.

I like what I see so far. You're on the right track. Treat your Sketchup project kind of like some people treat their model train layouts. Do it a little at a time and stick with it. If you invest enough time into it, it will develop a personality of its own. :-)

Thanks jhoward for your feedback. Here's a surprise for you. I am 12 years old. That was random. Thanks anyway though. It's exiting to get some comments.

Welcome to the forum, nice to see a new city in here! I see a lot of potential in this. It looks like a city couple of decades into the future. There's lots of fresh ideas in there.

Why is there an Ikea?
